| Why Me? |
What makes you the best person for your job? A freelance translator for the last two years I have worked with various NGOs and UN departments. In such an environment, attention to detail and professionalism were keywords. Committed and extremely organised I am also very flexible to work with - you can contact me anytime either by email or phone and I work very efficiently in urgent situations.
With a lot of translation experience in social policies, development, economic and politics, I can provide an accurate and up-to-date translation.
Finally I am not against good working relationships and enjoy working with reliable and innovative people who are open to suggestions and comments.
Do not hesitate to contact me should you be interested in my profile.
What is your best project so far? Why? I have been involved in two projects which meant a great deal to me.
The 1st one was the translation of a 100 pages report on good practices among NGO dealing with child care in development countries. This work was commanded by the International Catholic Child Bureau with which I have a very fruitful and interesting collaboration. I ensured the translation of this compendium from A to Z, ensuring an accurate translation, respect of the page layout and correction of the original text when needed.
The 2nd project is the work I did with European Alternatives on the translation of the policy proposals of the Citizen Manifesto (http://www.euroalter.com/citizenspact/citizens-pact-2013/). A fervent European, this work can be found online.
What do your students / customers say about you? I have never received bad feedback from my employers. I have worked with European and International NGOs, UN departments as well as private companies (booking.com). I have always ensured a top level of translation and made sure to adapt the language to the need of my customers' targets.
I am open to suggestions on my work and can go back on a translation (proofreading) when necessary. |
