What makes you the best person for your job?
I am passionate about getting the wording just right, so that it doesn't jar to the ear of a native English speaker. I am very reliable and offer a very affordable service. I will carry out an extremely thorough analysis of your work, looking at everything in detail and making corrections and suggestions to improve the flow and clarity of your text. I will not make radical changes without your approval, and will keep in communication with you at intervals, so that you know how I am progressing. Once the job is complete I am happy to continue to work with you on any queries until these have all been addressed.
What is your best project so far? Why?
I proofread and localised Edible Cities (by Judith Anger, Immo Fiebrig and Martin Schnyder) for Permanent Publications. I proofread it to ensure consistency of spelling, hyphenation, capitalisation, etc, as well as presentation and format. It had been translated from German into English and needed some adjustments both to make it read more naturally to an English first language reader, as well as to flow better, being a multiple-author book, with cross-references. I had to ensure it followed a consistent style throughout. I was able to pick up on the tiniest details that were incorrect and was very proud to be able to contribute to this book.
